of necessity
For years, we have seen how streaming has completely changed the way we discover and listen to music. For local and independent artists, however, it remains a challenge to gain sufficient visibility and receive fair compensation for their music.
Algorithms increasingly determine which music we hear, meaning that local artists and emerging talent do not always receive the attention they deserve. As a result, music from our own country risks becoming less visible.
That is why we want to help build a stronger and fairer
ecosystem for Belgian music.
